Trade reference
Wholesale terms and how ordering works
KnowPoster sells to the trade only. The minimum order is 50 units per SKU, priced at 3 volume breakpoints — at 50 / 200 / 500 units. Card payment is accepted at any value; orders at or above $2,000 are settled by bank transfer before production, and approved accounts with a completed order can use invoice terms of Net 30 days up to $5,000 per order. Orders above $3,500 ship economy freight free, and dispatch moves to palletised freight above 150 kg chargeable weight. Production takes 7–8 business days from cleared payment, with the first order of a new account reviewed manually before release.

Opening a trade account
A trade account is free and takes about a minute to open. It unlocks every unit price per SKU (3 of them), your margin against MSRP, case-pack rounding and the freight estimate at your own quantities. There is no credit check and no minimum spend to register.
Registered details are what a wholesale order is invoiced against, so they are confirmed once: business name, delivery address and a contact who can answer questions about the order. After the first order, reorders go straight through.
How quantities are priced
The cart applies the matching breakpoint automatically as quantities change — nothing needs to be requested or negotiated. Breakpoints and quantity ranges are public; the unit price at each one is shown to signed-in trade accounts.
| Breakpoint | Quantity range | Change in unit price |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | 50–199 units | Standard rate |
| Tier 2 | 200–499 units | 25% below the previous breakpoint |
| Tier 3 | 500+ units | 33% below the previous breakpoint |
Ordering at the top breakpoint is 50% below the entry unit price for the same SKU. Because the price steps down with volume, moving from 50 to 200 units lowers the unit price by 25%— and the discount is applied automatically to the matching quantity.
Payment, freight and dispatch
| Condition | Threshold | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Card payment | any order value | Paid at checkout; production is scheduled when the payment clears. |
| Bank transfer | at or above $2,000 | Confirmed by bank transfer before production starts. |
| Invoice terms | Net 30 days, up to $5,000 per order | Available once the trade account is approved and has 1 completed order; orders above the limit are settled in advance. |
| Free economy freight | orders above $3,500 | Economy freight is included; expedited options are quoted separately. |
| Palletised freight | above 150 kg chargeable | Quoted in writing before production starts, so the figure is agreed before anything is made. |
| First order | every new account | Reviewed manually before release; we confirm the details once. |
Freight is billed on chargeable weight — see specifications and freight for the per-SKU weights and the worked calculation. Zone rates and transit times are on shipping and freight.
Payments, damages and returns in full
These are the published answers from the wholesale FAQ, repeated here so the terms read as one document. The FAQ is the source; if the two ever differ, the FAQ is correct.
| Question | Published answer |
|---|---|
| Which payment methods do you accept? | Card payments through Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex and wallets), PayPal, and bank transfer. Orders above $2,000 are routed to bank transfer automatically. |
| Why is my large order bank transfer only? | Card processing fees on orders above $2,000 are significant, and large orders usually need a specification check anyway. We email banking details and a proforma invoice, then hold your stock until the transfer is confirmed. |
| Do you offer credit terms? | Invoice terms of Net 30 days are available to approved accounts with 1 completed order and satisfactory references. Ask your trade contact once that order is fulfilled and we will review it. |
| What if something arrives damaged? | Photograph the carton and the piece within seven days of delivery and email the images with your order number. We replace damaged units free of charge, including freight, and do not require the damaged goods back unless we ask. |
| Can I return saleable stock? | Custom and made-to-order pieces are non-returnable. Standard catalogue stock can be returned within 30 days in resaleable condition, subject to a 15% restocking fee, with freight at your cost. Contact us before sending anything back. |
| What is your colour tolerance? | We hold reference samples for every SKU and check each run against them. Slight variation between production runs is normal for printed and hand-finished work; if a reorder does not sit acceptably beside your existing stock, tell us and we will make it right. |
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a trade account to see prices?
- Yes. Wholesale unit prices are shown to signed-in trade accounts at all 3 volume breakpoints. Opening one is free and takes about a minute; there is no credit check and no minimum spend to register. Terms, minimums, breakpoints, weights and lead times on this page are public.
- What are the payment options?
- Card payment is available at checkout for any order. Orders at or above $2,000 are settled by bank transfer before production. Approved trade accounts with at least 1 completed order can use invoice terms of Net 30 days, up to $5,000 per order.
- When is my first order released?
- The first order from a new account is reviewed manually before it is released to production. We confirm the details once, then subsequent orders proceed without that step.
- How long does a wholesale order take?
- Production takes 7–8 business days from cleared payment. Orders above 150 kg chargeable weight are quoted in writing before production starts, so the freight confirmation is the one step that can extend that window.
- Is there a minimum order value?
- There is no minimum order value — the minimum is a quantity, not an amount: 50 units per SKU, the same figure across the whole catalogue. A cart must also total at least 12 units before checkout, which any single qualifying SKU already satisfies.
- How quickly will I get a quote?
- Bulk quote requests are answered within 24 business hours. A quote states the unit price at your quantity, production time and the freight figure so it can go straight to a purchase order.
